Former All-Ireland winning captain’s John O’Leary, Dublin, left, and Eoin Kelly, Tipperary at Croke Park to launch the 2015 Bord Gáis Energy Legends Tour Series.

Tipperary’s 2010 All-Ireland winning hurling captain Eoin Kelly and Dublin’s 1995 All-Ireland winning football captain John O’Leary were at Croke Park for the launch of the 2015 Bord Gáis Energy Legends Tour Series. Each will host a tour of GAA Headquarters later this summer and, along with many more well-known GAA stars, will join a high profile list of hurling and football greats who have taken on the role of host in the past.

The Bord Gáis Energy Legends Tour Series has proved to be hugely popular and with another star studded line-up in place this summer it’s sure to be no different. As well as Eoin and John, the likes of Kilkenny great Tommy Walsh, Kerry star Tomás Ó Sé and Waterford sharp-shooter John Mullane will also take a trip down memory lane to relive some of the magic moments from their careers within the GAA.

This summer the introduction of Bord Gáis Energy Legends Tours Classic Encounters is an added attraction, where great games of the past will be remembered from both sides. The first Classic Encounters Tour will take place on July 11th when managers of the time, Seán Boylan and Paddy Cullen, will look back on the Dublin/Meath four-game series of 1991.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Chief Operating Officer at Bord Gáis Energy, Dave Kirwan commented;

“Bord Gáis Energy is delighted to continue with these fantastic tours of Croke Park and we’re very excited about this year’s line-up of GAA greats. It’s little wonder that the tours are going from strength to strength given the calibre of hosts the GAA Museum manages to get in place.

“Once again we’ll be offering our customers the chance to spend time in the company of some of their GAA heroes through our Rewards Club competitions. This exclusive access to some of the biggest names to have graced the pitch at Croke Park is much sought after and we’re proud to be able to bring it to our customers.”

All Bord Gáis Energy Legends Tours include a trip to the GAA Museum, which is home to many exclusive exhibits, including the official GAA Hall of Fame. Booking is essential as the tours sell out quickly. For more booking and ticket information about the GAA legends for this summer’s tours visit www.crokepark.ie/gaa-museum. Bord Gáis Energy customers can be in with a chance to win a pair of places on the tours by signing up to the Bord Gáis Energy Rewards Club where regular competitions will take place.
